Yeah it doesnt help when people are belittling you when you fail on something ( im talking about myself )

It makes me mad, but at the same time it motivates me more than ever. Funny how your entry today kinda relate to me today ( in a way)

I know it’s hard to trust in something you have never seen growing up, but know that you can change things and make things better. Especially if you are both in it for the long run. I have been reading your blog for quite some time. All I can say is, some of your posts are very inspiring but at the same time I have few stuff to point out.

To be a doctor, you have to be strong and cant give up that easily. You are dealing with people’s life and of course you have to be perfect and not to make any mistake. “Enjoying” is not enough if you want to be a doctor. What if you are in a middle of operation and you decided ” you cant do it”, are you just going to give up and walk away from the operation room? I know you are not a quitter but if small things like “failing chem test” stop you from taking the class, when it is only after few weeks, than you might have to think about this whole path you choose because you will have to devote to it for years to come. People took years to become a doctor. 14 years for a friend of mine, she has no social life at all but being a doctor is her passion. She never give up even when people were making fun of her still in school when most of us already putting years into our careers.

Sure I know you were thinking, how would I know how hard is it for you…..but the world dont want to know that. They are much more interested on how can you contribute to the society. In the exam, they wont care if you just lost your job or your home (for example) but it is your answer that matters.

If you really want to practice medicine in Hawaii. Then stick with it. You can’t give up. Few exams wont prove anything, if you think it is hard now, imagine 2 years later when you are in medical school.No wait, think of the next 2 years in pre-medical school. You must face the reality. No things will come the easy way…you should know better. Didnt you said last time, maths, chem and bio are your new love?

You cant just drop that now. I dont know what your plan B is…. but if that didnt work out either, what is your next option? Plan C?

You have to be strong in this field. I know you can do it. Sorry if I sound bitter, but any good doctor will always evaluate new opinions.

I wish you good luck, because I really want to see you succeed.

I’ve had my days as well(and nights, sigh) where I’ve felt the need to purge my body of some old salty tears but told myself not to. Analyze what you need to change and get change asap, but more than anything, have faith. Faith gets me beyond by.

On a more positive note, I’ve just recently come across your blog and decided to read your All About. Thankfully I did. As a recent high-school grad, I’m just about to branch off & break out into post-sec, possibly in the, you know… artsy/creative/design field, and I would REALLY appreciate some advice from someone who seems (based on your qualifications and attained degrees) quite familiar with the field.

Hoping to get a response (via e-mail perhaps)?
